Is your coffee bean high quality?
Absolutely! We use 100% Arabica Beans which are roasted and flavored fresh per order. We also generously flavor our coffees.
How long does coffee stay fresh?
How long is your coffee guaranteed?
Coffee is a highly perishable product with a short shelf life. We recommend that you purchase what you would consume in a month. If you like to purchase coffee in bulk, then we recommend freezing the beans in an air tight container or freezer zip lock bags because coffee will absorb the odors in your freezer. It is highly recommended not to store dark roasted coffee in the freezer as the oil from the beans will gel and ruin your coffee.
We highly recommend purchasing whole bean. FRESH BEANS STORE WELL! A coffee bean acts like its own container - holding in flavorful oils and aromatic compounds. Once the beans are ground, the flavor is exposed for brewing -- but, if brewing doesn't happen right away, the flavor and aroma quickly dissipate. WHOLE BEANS stays fresh much, much longer because there is less surface area exposed to oxygen. Ground coffee will begin to stale within 15 minutes. Grind the whole bean coffee just before you brew.
Quality Problems:
Java Haven's Coffee Beans are guaranteed to be fresh, professionally roasted, pure high-quality arabica coffees. If you are not completely satisfied please call us at (703) 507-1275 8am to 5pm EST. If we determine that there was a quality problem with your shipment we will offer you choice of a refund or replacement. If a replacement is sent we will issue instructions for return of your problem shipment. Shipments over 15 days old are not returnable. We cannot accept returns of ground coffee shipments. Please bear in mind that like fine wine, quality coffees vary slightly in taste .
How long after I order will I receive my order?
Please allow 3-5 Business days processing time for all orders. Weekends and major holidays are not included in processing time. We are shipping from Virginia, dependent on what state you live would range from 2-7 business days.
Do you offer samples?
I wish we could afford to do so, but due to our tremendous demand we are unable to offer samples.. Please understand that we receive hundreds of requests for free samples every day and are unable to provide them at this time. We suggest purchasing our sample pots are a great way to try our coffees. You will not be disappointed!
What is a sample pot?
Sample pots makes 1 pot (10-12 cups) of coffee. They come in a labeled, disposable plastic bag. Sample pots are available in all our coffee flavors. The next size up is 4 oz. which will make at least 2 pots of coffee. These come in a kraft tin-tie bag and are available in all our coffee flavors. This size is popular for those who enjoy a variety of coffees, but would like to have more than a 1 time taste which is offered by our sample pots.
How are your orders shipped?
We use UPS Ground. Occasionally, if an order is under 1 pound, we will ship USPS. Due to the limited ability of Paypal, we have a flat shipping fee per price range. We do not ship out of the United States, except Puerto Rico and Canada (please see shipping information: http://www.javahaven.com/Shipping.html )
Do you sell wholesale?
We do offer 5 pound bags of our coffee flavors which is a great savings for any customer. Our 5 pound bags cost $7.00/pound for $35.00. Only available in Whole Bean. Not all coffee flavors are available in 5 pound bags. Certain coffee flavors are stocked in moderation and may not be available for all flavors.
Do you sell gift certificates?
We do offer gift certificates on our Specials page. You can choose to have the gift certificate emailed to the recipient or you can print out the certificate and deliver to the recipient personally.
How to redeem your gift certificate:
Select PayPal as your payment option. Log in to your account. You must have or register for a PayPal account to redeem this gift certificate. (To register, click Sign Up now .)
When prompted, enter your gift certificate redemption code and follow the last steps to redeem your gift certificate.
Gift Certiciate Important Terms:
Printed Merchant Gift Certificates are transferable if they do not include a recipient email address. For security and verification purposes, you may be required to verify your identity using a credit card.
Multiple gift certificates can be redeemed on a single purchase if they are in the same currency. Unused balances may be applied to other purchases.
Gift certificates do not expire and do not accrue maintenance fees.
